The divergent configurations of gas Heating gas boilers available

There are a number of sorts of Gas Central Heating Systems on the market these days. Most of them consist of a set of heating heating radiators, a gas boiler and copper pipework.

Whilst we need heating systems air conditioners are not needed in the United Kingdom and Europe because of the average temperature throughout the year. That is why in the United Kingdom most houses built these days are made with Gas Central Heating Systems fully integrated into the home.

With the onset of winter, heating becomes crucial to warming your home. A heated home has a comfortable and enjoyable feel to it. Your Central Heating System must be fault free as much as possible and efficient to cut bills. You should feel that your Gas Central Heating System is safe, easy to use and long lasting.

Sealed and vented or pumped systems are the two leading types of Central Heating Systems available.

Pumped/vented systems are the most common. The pumped/vented Central Heating Systems have an expansion tank and a feed. Your house gets hot water through the stored hot water tank, it also supplies heat to the central heating radiators. Water expands when heated; this expansion is accommodated in a feed-expansion tank. You will most likely find the expansion tank kept in the highest part of the house. The tank provides a dual supply of hot water and warmth for the house.

Most houses, especially the old ones will have a vented/pumped heating system.

A slightly newer, more up-to-date central heating boiler that many people are choosing over a pumped/vented Gas Central Heating system is a sealed system. This system doesn’t have water tanks as it’s a closed heating system, this will save you space and reduce maintenance costs as there are fewer components. In the absence of water tanks and pipework, the whole system is sealed and vented; here are some prominent benefits of such a system.

- There is no risk of pipes freezing in the loft as with older systems.

- loft space is freed up and pipe maintenance is reduced.

- The risk of leakage is reduced as there are fewer pipes and the system is less complex.

- The air cannot enter the system as its sealed and hence there are lesser chances of sludge, corrosion and airlocks developing.

- It is possible to flush out the system if required by using the mains water supply.

This central heating system is self contained incorporating all the safety devices and other important controls. The mains water supplies the water required for the sealed Central Heating system. The main water supply feeds the system directly under pressure.

A pressure vessel containing compressed gas, which is kept separate from the sealed system by a diaphragm, is used to allow any pressure variations. The safety valve opens up when the pressure in the system rises so that water can escape through it, on the other hand it opens up when the pressure drops down so that the water can refill the system.

Compared to any other form of heating, Gas Central Heating systems are by far the most practical and economical. Their ease of operation and versatility is much better than other types of heating.
