Get a brand-new central heating system to keep warm this winter

Gas central heating is the best way of getting ready for when wintertime approaches with its longer nights and freezing temperatures. Heating your house will make it a relaxing and cosy place to be, so therefore you need a reliable and economical central heating system.

The two basic types of gas central heating systems are called pumped and vented, both of which are made up of a gas boiler, heating radiators and usually copper pipework.

The most common out of these is probably the pumped system, these consist of a feed and expansion tank, the hot water tank works as the centre storage, and then heats the central heating radiators via the pipes. The tank has enough storage space to allow for any water expansion that might result from the heating.

The vented system on the other hand is a sealed system where there is no core heating. It’s basically closed, so there is really no need for any water tanks and the space they require. This system offers a major benefit in that it reduces the risk of leakage and prevents other hazards such as airlocks; colder countries like Russia can reap great advantages from this systems since it avoids the risk of frozen pipes.

So Why Do I need a central heating System?.

Gas central heating is great in a way that it warms up your office and home at a lightening fast speed and the quality of the surrounding air doesn’t even get affected. Before the central heating system came into existence, other heaters like electric and storage heaters were used to keep the home warm or even coal fires. However these heaters had a odour around them and they also affected the surrounding air, making it less pleasant as an interior environment.

These air quality issues were eliminated by central heating; but such a preferred environment can be ensured only by periodic servicing of the central heating system to keep it running efficiently and safely. Spring and summer often sees these systems shut down and completely ignored, only to be abruptly switched on when a chilly wind blows in. It is more prudent to routinely switch on the system in autumn as winter approaches, so that any hitches can be repaired by summoning a central heating expert well in time.

It should also be noted that some gas central heating systems allow air or dirt into them, so periodic draining is required. The best way to do this is to place a bucket underneath the drain valve and slowly open it to release the water, but just make sure that no more air or dirt is making its way in.

Enhance your gas heating system with a new central heating boiler We should all prepare for the winter months as the weather gets colder and the days shorter by having good central heating in our homes. By centrally heating your home, you can make it more comfortable, inviting and relaxing. In general, two types of gas central heating systems exist, one that’s pumped and the other with a vented system; but a heating boiler, radiator and pipework make up the component parts of most heaters. Pumped systems are probably the more common ones and their main part is a feed expansion tank which acts as the centre core by heating up itself first to subsequently warm up the heaters via the pipe work. The expansion tank might fill up at times because of water expansion. The vented system on the other hand is a sealed system where there is no core heating. It is basically a closed system, and for this reason, there is no need of water tanks.
