Economise on storage with a combination gas boiler

smaller homes can benefit from putting in a combi heating boiler as they require much less room than conventional boilers. All you want to put in the full central heating system is a combination gas boiler and balanced flue. To complete the heating you just need radiators, the essential fittings and an amount of copper pipes. Your first consideration could be astonished and thought that some pieces had been missed out from the system. Central heating systems seem to need a hot water tank to store water, a feed and enlargement tank in the attic and a water pump to move everything around.

These component parts are not called for by a contemporary combination boiler. You can leave out the hot water storage tank, storage space in the attic can be saved by leaving out the feed and expansion tank, and the other tiny pieces are already built into the heating boiler. So you can see with a combination heating boiler you can save a sizeable amount of room within your dwelling house.

The combination boiler is not new. Whilst they were first installed in Europe they are now a very popular boiler for fitting in the UK. There are two leading divergences between this type of heating boiler and its better known alternatives. The central heating hot water circulation system is sealed. This means that there is no need for a feed and enlargement tank in the loft. Extra room is saved by the heating boiler integrating its own hot water storage cylinder removing the requirement for the hot water storage tank.

Hot water is only produced as it is required, this is signalled when you turn on a tap. And cost-effective integral heat exchanger enables the gas boiler to rapidly heat and cold water. Water from the sealed central heating circuit is heated and is diverted to the hot water heat exchanger heating it up. This permits cold mains water to be rapidly heated before exiting the hot water valve.

Hot water provision to the radiators is a lesser importance than the output of immediate hot water for the household. When the valve is closed again the central heating water is returned to its regular circuit.

It is possible to fit a new heating boiler in a tiny apartment and not require a great amount of storage space.
